The Institute of Parasitology is associated with the Vetsuisse and Medical Faculties of the University of Bern.
The Institute of Parasitology carries out diagnostic tests in the veterinary field for the clinics of the Vetsuisse Faculty, for private veterinarians and for private persons. Carefully conducted diagnostics form the basis for the treatment of diseased animals, stock care and animal disease control. The institute is a reference laboratory for specific parasitic infectious agents.
The quality of diagnostics is ensured by a quality management system. The close connection between diagnostics and research is the basis for the continuous improvement of existing methods and the introduction of new examination methods.
